Innovative Leadership of the Delaware Valley was formed in 1999
with the design of providing Leadership/Management Training
programs to small companies and non-profit organizations. 

Innovative Leadership is a performance improvement company that now integrates business consultation, training and development, and coaching to provide solutions for today’s business and employee challenges.

Ellen Hohmann - President
Ellen Hohmann is a seasoned professional who has held various sales/marketing management positions in the healthcare industry prior to starting her own
Ellen Hohmannbusiness. Ellen is a LaSalle University graduate and began her career in teaching. Ellen spent fifteen years with a variety of businesses from small entrepreneurial businesses to large corporations. Ellen specializes in generational diversity/inclusion, understanding behaviors in the workplace and team effectiveness.

Thirteen years ago, Ellen left the corporate environment to begin a new business called Innovative Leadership of the Delaware Valley. Ellen works with small businesses
and large corporations, particularly in the middle management arena, to help people and companies reach their goals. Ellen is certified by the NJ Board of Accountancy, the New Jersey State Nurses Association and the New Jersey Education Association to provide continuing education.


Ellen received her training certification from the State of NJ/Department of Personnel and is a certified trainer for Leadership Management International and Inscape Publishing. She is a member of the Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce, Human Resource Association of Southern New Jersey and the National Association of Female Executives. Ellen is an appointed Commissioner for the Atlantic County Women’s Commission.

 

Richard Hohmann – Senior Consultant/VP
Richard is passionate about people development and organizational effectiveness. Since graduating from The Ohio State University, Richard has exhibited a successful track record in a wide range of business activities and positions.
Rich HohmannHe has held various executive management positions and has extensive work
experience in Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups and small businesses. His positions include the roles and responsibilities of a President/CEO, Vice President of Sales, Director of Rehabilitation Medicine and more. Richard’s philosophy is that the success of any organization is directly proportional to the strengths of its people.


Richard is the Senior Business Development Strategist/Vice President for Innovative Leadership of the Delaware Valley. He also facilitates the Leadership and Management Development Programs offered by his company. Richard adds that “real life” experiential learning component that many training programs do not. He is a certified Corporate Business and Executive Coach and works with many successful business executives worldwide. The integration of his experience and his skill sets relative to facilitation and coaching can provide a much better outcome than one by itself.


Richard believes that coaching compliments training in almost every situation that involves performance improvement and goal-orientation. His coaching clients reflect all segments of business from the CEO to high potential candidate in a mid-size to large company to the business owner of a start-up or small business. His industry experience also includes Construction, Healthcare, Computer Sales and Service, City Government, Utilities, and Manufacturing.

Richard facilitates many of the Leadership and Management Development Programs and is a firm believer that “good managers” make a “great company”. Helping people reach their potential can only complement the growth and sustainability desired by most business owners and large companies. He really enjoys working with organizations that look at the development of their people as their primary role and responsibility. Richard has worked with many companies in the development of their Leadership Academies or Institutes. He also includes many of the leadership courses and programs with coaching on a one-on-one basis to help people with their career objectives and to improve their performance. He facilitates numerous workshops that demonstrate the specific skills and competencies needed by high achieving managers.


Richard has developed a unique Strategic Business Performance Process that has enabled many companies to become more process oriented enabling them to achieve their goals. He believes that success for all companies revolves around a plan that incorporates people development and organizational effectiveness while keeping the employee engaged in the business strategy of the organization. Richard has also worked with companies and family businesses with their succession planning. The transferring of ownership from one generation to another is not as simple as many people think.

Richard believes that it is important that his company give back to the community. He is an active member of the Southern Shore Human Resource Management Group of New Jersey, the Human Resource Association of Southern New Jersey and the Tri-State Human Resource Management Group. He has been a guest speaker for all of those groups focusing on employee engagement, succession planning, and the Total Leadership Concept. He is also involved with the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Upper Township Business Association, and the Somers Point Business Association. He is an active member of the International Federation of Coaching.

Richard has been appointed to the Leadership Collaboration Team for Leadership Management International, a national organization that focuses on Strategic Development including people, processes and performance. He has published articles nationally and locally and provides a monthly newsletter and blog. Richard has spoken at many national conventions and outings on people development, leadership, employee engagement, and personal productivity. Richard is available to speak at your meetings or conventions.


Richard recently was asked to take on the role of Business Development Specialist for the School of Graduate and Continuing Studies at the Richard Stockton College of NJ. His goal at the college is to integrate the academic capabilities with the professional development programs offered by Continuing Studies to offer the business community a viable corporate training and people development resource. In this position, Richard is also actively involved with the Galloway Township Business Association, Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Atlantic City Regional Chamber of Commerce.


Leigh Seddon – Marketing Coordinator
Leigh Seddon is a native of South Jersey and received a strong foundation in the arts from both Atlantic Cape Community College and The Richard Stockton College of Leigh SeddonNew Jersey. Her unique experience coupled with her fresh and sophisticated views compliment the company’s direction. Leigh’s diversified background in the entertainment, hospitality, and retail industries offer’s Innovative’s clients the experience in the businesses that make a difference in our region. Leigh develops the marketing campaigns for Innovative Leadership’s unique courses, workshops, and assessment tools relating to business growth and people development. Leigh also creates marketing products and campaigns for companies that use Innovative Leadership's business consulting.
